What to Expect from 4th and 1rish During the 2021 Notre Dame Football Season

I started this blog after the 2020 Notre Dame season had started. I had thought about blogging about the Fighting Irish for a while, and sitting around during Covid gave me the time. So, the 2021 season will be the first full season that the 4th and 1rish blog will be around. I plan on keeping the same type of blogs from last year and adding more as the season goes on. Here is the plan for weekly blogs:

We will start with Saturday Game Day :

  • Saturday: Game day – (other than week 1 vs FSU) For most games I will be in front of a tv watching the Irish; there are a couple when I will be at weddings, and for now I only have tickets to the UNC game. I will be all over Twitter regardless of where I am, watching or streaming the games.
  • Sunday: Game Recap Blog – Win or lose, there will be a game recap blog. I will talk about the good, the bad and the ugly. These will also highlight the top 4 players from that game.
  • Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: These are currently open days. If there is anything newsworthy from South Bend, I will blog about it .
  • Thursday: History of the Opponent Blog – This blog will be information about past match-ups and history with the team that Notre Dame is playing that Saturday.
  • Friday: Game Preview Blog– Similar to the game recap blog, this will have info on who the Irish are playing, outlook for the game and a highlight of 4 Notre Dame players I am looking to have a big game. The blog will end with me picking a winner – not the final score, just who I think will win…I am awful at picking final scores.

In a perfect world, this is what every week will look like from 4th and 1rish. Life happens, but I will always drop at least 3 blogs a week: history of the match-up, game preview, and game recap. As the season goes on and I get into a groove, I plan on blogging more. So sit back and enjoy the ride. Thanks for reading. GO IRISH!
